Potty Training 101

Ok so as a rule I don't even attempt to get my kids out of daipers until they turn 3. Kaeleigh is a couple weeks shy of her 2nd birthday.

I couldn't take it anymore I tell ya!!!!

I've had a hard time keeping a daiper on her for quite sometime and have even resorted to using duct tape. No matter how many times I wrap the tape around her waist, she still gets it unpicked. Every morning I find her daiper off and the crib soiled...nap time is the same. I'm so tired of cleaning her bed and sheets everyday...aaarrggg!!!

So I decided to get started with potty training. I'm not expecting a miracle but hopefully we can make some progress.

Potty supplies: 1 singing potty, 1 potty book w/sounds, 1 pack of pull-ups, 1 pack of big girl pants.

Whoops!!! Bottom shot (sorry,couldn't resist).

Success...she used the potty first time out...YEAH!!! It's so cute b/c it only sings when there's a "deposit".

Froggy needed to have a turn too. Luckily she hadn't gone in it yet ;)

Spotlight ~ Kaeleigh

I didn't know what to do with a few random pictures of KK so decided to spotlight her. I hope you like them :)

Her doppleganger... looks like blood from her finger doesn't it.
It's actually the product of trusting her to eat chocolate pudding on her own!

Oops!

Playing with my big sister.

"I think I can, I think I can".

"Weeeee...I did it"!

What an angel xx

Can we fix it?...Yes we can!

It's been a long day.

Fairy footprints?

Could I have a sweet spring fairy at my door...or a naughty leprechaun?

YOU be the judge... will I get pretty daisy chains or an empty pot o' gold ?!

Oh...even better, I'll get lots of hugs and kisses!
But look out...she's a sneaky one, looks like she ran around the yard through puddles of melting snow :-s

Contortionist...Yikes!

Kaeleigh squeezed herself into the book box.
Which is a rubbermaid container about 6x8 is size.

Side profile. I think this shows how tight a fit it is!

Either she has no feeling from the waist down or she's just really good at hiding pain.
Not so much as a tiny grimace...Ah to be young and flexable again...sigh.

Photoshop Fun

I came across some pictures on the computer of Kaeleigh just before her 1st birthday so I had some fun with photoshop. She's so easy on the eyes, I just love to mess with her photos :D

My cute little cover girl.

The Powdered Juice Bandit

This is what happens when I assume that my 10 year old is "watching" my toddler!
It looks like she had some kind of horrible accident or turned into a Vampire on a killing spree!

I wonder how long the stains will stay on her skin?

Children's Hospital

*UPDATE* Her blood work shows no problems so we will check it again before she hits puberty.

Mike and I noticed that whenever Kaeleigh gets a cut it take's longer than normal to stop bleeding. We mentioned this to her doctor who felt it a good idea to get a blood test done. She needs to find out if Kaeleigh has a clotting problem. I'm interested to see what the results are as this isn't in our family history.

Mike took Kaeleigh for the appointment which was probably better. Apparently he and another nurse had to hold her still for the blood draw. As soon as it was done she sat up and stopped crying...hmm...must have been the strangers with masks that brought on the tears!!!

In the picture she's showing me her "ow" and grimacing at the memory. She was quite put out but none the worse for wear :)

Who Turned Out The Lights?!

"Daddy put my hat on backwards. He thought it was pretty funny then Mommy started taking pictures...I guess she thought it was funny too"!

"This is so humiliating"
