Valentines Crafts/Gifts

For Christmas my mother in law gave me a subscrption to Family Fun Magazine. This months issue has been very helpful with ideas for Valentines Day. The kids made these gifts for their teachers and classmates.

This locker is great for valentines cards and treats (made out of a cracker box).
As luck would have it the school mascot is a mountain lion..lol

These treats are a variation of the craft below.

Kaitlin combined her cards with the treats. (front and back views)

I thought this was a great idea. The hands are wrapped around a hand lotion bottle.

Poor quality photo but you get the idea. I bought the lotion at Bath and Body Works.
(on sale for $1)
* We traced Kaeleigh's hand...it was the perfect size for the miniature bottle :D

CHEAP AND CHEERFUL...I love it ;D

Halloween Fun

Mike and I went to the school party. It was fun to help in the classroom and watch a magic show.

Braden ready to go home

TRICK OR TREAT ~ SMELL MY FEET ~
GIVE ME SOMETHING GOOD TO EAT
Kaeleigh in her pink puppy/bunny costume (not sure which)
Note the two fisted grasp : she didn't let go the whole time (2 hrs)

"Pay no attention to the woman behind the skeleton".
I really wanted a picture of all three kids but Kaeleigh was afraid of Braden.

Kaeleigh ~ Oh I get it...I hold this pumpkin and people put candy in it... Why don't we do this everyday?!

Next to some cool decorations.

Kaeleigh realized, if she stood at the door with a cute expression, people would give her extra candy. She ended up with more than her brother and sister. We had to dump it out several times so she could carry the bucket.

True depiction of their relationship. Isn't it sweet?
Now, if I can just STOP eating the treats...somehow I don't think that will happen (as she blogs surrounded by empty wrappers). ;-P

Nebraska State Fair

Sorry a few of these pictures are sideways...can't figure it out. Anyway, We enjoyed the fair with our friends again and it was a fun day for all of us.

Kaitlin and Sally (Katie absolutely loves her)

I called this guy Lightning McQueen...Vroom

Braden's favorite

I hope the artist didn't cut any other kinds of cheese inside that box...maybe that's why he's not there anymore. Sorry, I couldn't resist.

The gang's all here... minus 3 people. Sad you couldn't join us Bev, Christa and Grandad. :-(

Horse to Kaitlin..." I said you may NOT pick my nose, little girl"

This little lamb wanted to see how good she tastes.

Whoa Nelly...I mean...Daddy!

This one sounded like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

A couple of old timers

Kaitlin and Sally joint at the hip again...so cute :)

How did The Cable Guy get here? He's from Nebraska isn't he?... no really it's just a farmer.

Here pig, pig, pig.

Farm team award ceremony. Not a bad show, just too hot inside the building.

Labor Day = Family Time

We waited till the evening to have a picnic at the park. It was just too hot to go out any earlier. Braden wanted to go to Ta-Ha-Zu-Ka park because of the tank and skatepark. Very Patriotic
Strike a pose....Vogue

On the menu :- hot dogs, meat, chips/crisps, watermelon, pop and dippin'dots. We packed up the Jeep while Braden skateboarded.
He watched the big boys at the skate park and decided not to have a turn.
The parking lot was good enough.
